Welcome to the Bocking Theatre Club - an amateur dramatic group of friendly, mixed age people who put on two main productions a year, enter local festivals in the summer and perform a pantomime every other year.  We are affiliated with NODA and the North Essex Theatre Guild. Babes in the Wood - Tickets now available!

The Bocking Theatre Club are well into rehersals for their next Pantomime which will run during the 2026 Spring Half Term.  There will be six performances of Babes in the Wood (last performed by our club 32 years ago!)   The pantomime recounts the story of Robin Hood and his merry men as they pit their wits against the nasty Sheriff of Nottingham and his hapless guards whilst the clueless Nurse Nitwit tries to keep her mischievous but lovable Babes under control.  Check out the dates and buy tickets now! Come and join us!

We welcome new members and there are a variety of different roles - not just on stage but backstage, costumes, props, front of house, lighting, sound / sfx and publicity.  You could also become a friend of the Bocking Theatre Club, getting involved in other ways and coming along to social events.  If you would like to come along and see what we are about then please contact us. Saddle Sore! at Bocking Theatre Club raised over £1100!

The numbers have been crunched and we can now declare that the one-night-only performance of Saddle Sore! at Bocking Theatre Club raised £1168 for Prostate Cancer UK.  This brings Kevin Topple and Ian Hornett's highly acclaimed play's fund raising for the charity to a total of £6613 by performing their play around Essex and Sussex.  Well done to the cast and crew and also to The Bocking Theatre Club members and sponsors who helped bring this amazing production to life.

Saddle Sore!

Another fantastic night of Saddle Sore in front of a packed audience!  Bocking Theatre Club hosted a one off performance of the widely acclaimed play Saddle Sore! by Kevin Topple and Ian Hornett. Saddle Sore is a play about two men going on a bike ride to raise money in memory of their friend Dave who has died from Prostate Cancer. It's very much a comedy with an important message at the heart of it.  It will provide plenty of laughs and maybe even some tears.

The play was performed on Friday 20th June at Bocking Village Hall.  All profits of the £10 entry are going directly to Prostate Cancer UK.  Thank you to Kevin Topple, Ian Hornett and Gary Huggins for putting on a stunning performance, supported by Irene Lincolna and Richard Cooper.  This show also wouldn't have been possible without the support of the members and friends of Bocking Theatre Club.
